I find that the biggest block to Intuition is created by doubt—which is the same thing as lack of trust.
Self-Doubt Stops You From Trusting Your Intuition
From my experience, doubt is the unfortunate, early programming of placing value on our outside environment for self-validation or approval and the need to deliver proof in order to be valuable or worthy.
Low Self-Esteem Hinders Your First Sense
Low self-esteem is another common block to accessing fully our Intuition.
Placing more value on good performance and appearance is a fragile existence and can squash one’s sense of self. It is hard to maintain an outside standard of perfection such as best grades or expected physical appearance.
These values are not easily sustainable because they are the vision that others have of us and are impossible to sustain over time. These efforts can lead to losing trust and value of self.
Being Overly Intellectual
I am not talking about being intelligent—we are all born intelligent. I am talking about being overly analytical and/or requiring physical proof in order to be valuable or worthy.
These are common states of being that stop you from trusting your intuition. Human-made criteria is a buzz-kill for Intuition.
