Under normal conditions, the heart area emits about 20 photons, (energy of light), per second. However, during focused states of love, intention, and heart based meditation, those numbers reportedly increased dramatically. What really caught my attention was this: the highest readings occurred when the practitioner was focusing on healing his own child. The intention was deeply emotional, personal, and filled with love. This was where there was a spike, up to around 100,000 photons per second.

We are often tempted to stop a fever too soon. To suppress it, medicate it, make it more comfortable before it has done its sacred work. But sometimes, the most healing thing we can do is allow the fever to run its course - to trust the intelligence of the body, and of the spirit, to know what needs to burn away.

The spirit is not something you go and look for, it is something you already are. You are Spirit...the spark of the divine is within you. So when we say, “I want to be spiritual,” it is almost like saying, “I want to breathe.” It is already happening. The challenge is not becoming spiritual. The challenge is allowing that spirit to guide us—to guide your choices, to guide your actions, and to guide you into becoming a better human being. This is where the true practice begins...
